Celergo is a leading provider of Global Payroll Services, supporting companies with solutions to meet their global payroll requirements. These solutions enable organizations to apply better fiscal controls and obtain greater visibility of their global payroll processes. The company has built core expertise in managing some of the most complicated payrolls, in the most complex business environments around the world.
Celergo’s history began in late 1990 when co-founder Michele Honomichl launched her first company GPSLink, which specialized in expatriate administration software. As more companies began to globalize, it became clear that many were plagued with inefficient processes which made it difficult to process payroll payments on a global scale. So during her MBA program at Indiana University, Michele Honomichl and co-founder Bert Brown together developed a consolidated solution for paying expatriates and local employees. Celergo was officially launched in 2004, in the basement of Michele’s home, attracting new business by word of mouth.
Celergo’s growth exploded as it expanded its global presence to include offices in Chicago, Singapore, and Budapest and extended its capability to process payroll in over 165 countries. Experienced professionals, who collectively speak over 36 languages, were hired as Celergo gained additional advantages in understanding global business issues. Celergo’s people, process and technology have allowed it to be recognized as one of the fastest growing companies by Inc Magazine and repeatedly named one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For™ in the United States.
Celergo is compliant with Safe Harbor, OFAC, FCPA, BCP, Data Privacy and SSAE16 policies and practices.
