In 2015, key issues facing the international payroll community include addressing continued rapid growth in international assignments and overseas operations with a push for more organizational governance, better use of improved technology, and more diligent compliance efforts, according to several interviews Bloomberg BNA conducted with global payroll professionals in late December 2014.
In addition, global payroll professionals are feeling the impact of a shortfall in global payroll talent and expertise, and the market for trained and experienced global and in-country payroll staff appears to be heating up. Despite major systems advances that allow organizations to more easily collect and standardize employment and payroll-related data, a lack of experienced and knowledgeable personnel will affect the evolution and development of global pay in 2015, according to some who were interviewed for this white paper report.
